24 Hours (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our app.

2. Information We Collect

We collect minimal data, and all processing happens locally on your device:

• Photos and Videos: Only those captured directly within the 24 Hours app. These are stored exclusively in your device’s local storage (sandbox).
• Metadata: Timestamps necessary to calculate the 24-hour countdown and deletion schedule.
• App Settings: Your preferences (e.g., notification settings) stored locally.

We do NOT collect:

• Location data
• Contact information
• Browsing history or usage analytics
• Device identifiers for tracking
• Any data when you are offline

3. How We Use Your Information

All processing is performed locally on your device:

• To display your photos in the app gallery
• To calculate and display the 24-hour countdown timer
• To send you local notifications (the 23:30 reminder) that your photos will soon be deleted
• To automatically delete photos after the 24-hour period expires (unless you mark them as “Keep”)

Important: If you mark a photo as “Keep,” it remains in the app’s local storage or may be saved to your device’s system Photo Library (Camera Roll) based on your export preferences.

4. Data Storage and Security

Zero-Server Architecture: We do not operate backend servers. Your photos are never uploaded to the cloud, transmitted over the internet, or stored on external databases.

Local Storage: All data resides in your device’s encrypted sandbox environment (protected by iOS/Android security measures).

Deletion:

• Automatic deletion occurs exactly 24 hours after the first photo of a session is taken.
• Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all app data immediately.

5. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not share, sell, or transfer your data to any third parties.

Since we have no servers and do not use analytics SDKs or advertising networks, there is no mechanism by which we could share your information.

6. Permissions We Request

• Camera: Required to capture photos and videos within the app.
• Notifications: Required to send the 23:30 reminder alert before auto-deletion.
• Photo Library (Optional): Only requested if you choose to export “kept” photos to your device’s Camera Roll.

7. Your Rights (GDPR / UK Data Protection)

Under UK and EU data protection laws, you have the right to:

• Access: Your data is always visible to you within the app.
• Deletion: You can manually delete any photo at any time, or uninstall the app to delete all data immediately.
• Portability: You can export “kept” photos to your device gallery.

8. Children’s Privacy

24 Hours is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as features evolve. Changes will be posted in the app and on this page.
